Your kids have grown up. Now they have even left home. But they have left their toys behind. It is time for a yard sale. But maybe, there are ways you can use some of their toys.
If you have a look at some of the toys lying around, you will find that that there are many tea sets among them. The best thing about them is that you can easily use them to decorate your home.
You can make use of some old shredded paper. Most of us just throw shredded paper in the recycle bin. How about just putting it in your children's tea cups?

Once you have placed the paper, put a few artificial flowers on top of it. You can easily find these flowers in a nearby crafts store.
The stems of the flowers will need to be cut off. Otherwise, the flowers will not sit on top of the cup. If you don't want to place artificial flowers in the cups, then you can try something else. You can also turn them into candy dishes.
You need to get a rubber kit and some extra strong glue for this. You will easily be able to find one at your nearby arts and crafts store. All you need to do is to glue the rubber piece at the bottom of the cup.
Very good glue for sticking the rubber to the cup is wood glue. You need to place the cup on the rubber and then cut the rubber into the shape of the tea cup.
Now put the extra strong glue on the rubber piece. The cup needs to be then gently pressed on top of the glue. Make sure to hold the cup for a few seconds so that it sticks to the rubber. Now it is time to let the glue dry.
Your candy dish is ready and now you need to place the candy in it. The rubber will make sure that the cups don't slide all over the table. The tea cups will work as a great decoration piece in your room.
This candy dish can also be used as a centerpiece in your kitchen. You can place mints in it for times when you have guests in your house. If you have a party in your house or even a small gathering, this can be used as a centerpiece on such occasions too.
